We are delighted to announce our second vinyl release will be from Australian based Carlo Gambino.  BBW002 titled “You and Me EP” will contain two original tracks from Carlo with a cheeky remix of each.  Deep House Legend Goshawk (half of Rhythm Plate) gives a chunky dub of the title track “You and Me”, while label co-owner David Moran jacks up the “Get Back”.  This is expected to be out around June 2022.  You can find Carlo’s, Goshawk’s and David’s bio’s below and links.

Carlo Gambino should need no introduction to this industry we all love, he has been DJ’ing since the 90’s and has played at many of the world’s best loved dance floors including ‘Back to Basics’ (Leeds), ‘Sankeys’ (Manchester), ‘Space’ (Ibiza), ‘Culture Box’ (Copenhagen), ‘Pix Club’ (Switzerland), ‘Decadence’ (Paris), ‘Verboten’ (NYC), ‘Sash’ (Sydney).

Collecting Vinyl from the age of 11, Carlo was 16 when his love of all things ‘House’ began. It became very clear from an early age that music would play a major role in Carlo’s life; for over 35 years his father has worked in the music industry, touring with artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Black Sabbath, so it came as no surprise that he was destined to follow a similar path.

Carlo’s DJ career spans well over 2 decades with his production career now well into double figures gaining support from many A-listers including Jamie Jones, Moodymanc, Justin Harris, PBR Streetgang, Adam Shelton, Inland Knights to name but a few. Carlo’s first major release wasn’t until 2010 after getting the break he needed signing a 3 track EP for the legendary ‘3am Recordings’.

Since that first signing for the label, Carlo has gone onto release several more tracks for 3am including the labels 50th anniversary release. Several strong releases have followed since the start of 2010, which have led to a rapid increase in demand for Carlo’s original and remix work globally. With releases on heavyweight labels such as Cinthie’s ‘We_R_House’, Clara Da Costa’s ‘Jacks House’, Franck Roger’s ‘Real Tone’, Jamie Jone’s ‘Hot Waves’ plus Apollo Music, Euphoria Records, Sense Traxx, Zingiber Audio. The list goes on.

It was in 2011 that Carlo launched his very own digital imprint, ‘Midnight Social Recordings’. With Artists such as Al Bradley, Adam Collins, Dudley Strangeways, Diego Krause, Jay Tripwire to name but a few have already released on the label. The label is still going from strength to strength and is still gaining recognition in all the right places with the label now in its 10th year and 71 releases already in the can.

2016 was a memorable year as Carlo had been one of Audiojack’s residents in Ibiza for their Sunday Social party at Veto. To round off that magical season in Ibiza, Carlo also held a series of label parties at the legendary Space for Carl Cox. These four exclusive dates ran throughout the summer taking various artists off the label, hosting the premier Etage Terrace all night long. This also happened to be the very last year for Space and Carl Cox as we all know which made the summer even more special.

Aside from his own DJ and production path, Carlo has also formed a new house partnership under the name of ‘Low Tone’ with long term friend Al Bradley of 3am Recordings. Carlo Gambino and Al Bradley are two of the gems in UK’s electronic crown, steadily honing their reputations as two of the most reliable and consistent DJ/producers. Carlo and Al have been in amongst the scene for over 25 years playing around the UK, Europe and beyond and between them, the guys have notched up an impressive gig list across the years. This partnership is set to continue.

Fast forward to 2021 and Carlo is now residing on sunnier shores that be Sydney, Australia. A change in scenery was presented to him which he has fully embraced and now loving life down under. Since his time in Sydney he has gone on to form great friendships and also great working relationships with some of the country’s finest established nights. Carlo is a regular player for both the legendary SASH and also The Breakfast Club in Melbourne.

For the last twenty years, Matt Rivem has been releasing music as one half of Rhythm Plate, Matlock’s finest deep house double act. With releases on some of the most credible Midlands labels such as DIY, Mantis, Hudd Traxx as well as their own Pressed For Time label they have carved a niche with their distinctive, warm and soulful sounds.

Of late Matt has been concentrating on his solo Goshawk project; taking influences from mid 90s US house, late 90s French house and the free party sound much loved by DiY, this is a heady blend of soul, house and chord progressions. Early morning music to be played loud in a field. Smooth but streetwise like Face out of the A-team. Warm yet heavy, happy yet sad. The sound of a boat party drifting out to sea….
